Web Design by MikeStratton.net would like to help you make that dream a reality by offering our pro bono/volunteer web design services to you completely free of charge.

Volunteer Web Design Requirements

To sign up for our volunteer web design services, you must first agree to the following requirements:

  • Agree to having a link placed on the bottom of each page pointing to www.mikestratton.net for a period of at least 6 months.
  • Agree to using only 10-20 hours of volunteer web design services.

To date Web Design by MikeStratton.net has recieved an overwhelming response to our willingness to volunteer. Unfortunately we cannot stay in business if the only thing we do is offer volunteer web design services.

With many requests coming for our volunteer web design services coming in on a day to day basis, Web Design by MikeStratton.net needs to verify the legitimacy of your volunteer web design request. As well, we need to focus our efforts on entities that hold value in our willingness to offer free web design. We will do this by setting requirements for all that request our volunteer/free web design services.

One of our requirements is that you agree allow to limit your request to only 15-20 hours of volunteer web design time. In this time a web site can be easily completed, as long as unreasonable requests are not made. Let us find the best result for your needs so that your site can be fully completed and online in the amount of time that we offer for our volunteer web design services. Unreasonable requests and/or demands may affect the completion of your site.

A breach of these requirments after we have started to volunteer for you will cancel our volunteer services.

If you do not follow the instructions set in place on this page, your volunteer request will be denied.

Thank you for your interest in our volunteer web design services. Although we cannot approve all volunteer web design requests, we will do our best to approve of all volunteer web design requests that come from any nonprofit, charitable, religous organization, business or individual that has an exceptional financial need. Once we receive your completed Voluunteer Web Design & Development Request Form, you will receive a response within 5 business days.

Volunteer Web Design Specifications

* Please note that our volunteer services is limited to the design and development of up to 5 pages of a HTML or CMS website OR a total of 10-20 hours of pro-bono web development services. Our volunteer work will not exceed either of these limits.

  • 10-20 hours of volunteer time(Total)
  • 5 pages of design.
  • Logo Design
  • Navigation
  • Graphic Design
    (Editing and formating of images/photos, creation of custom graphics as needed)
  • HTML Theme or CMS Theme design and development.
  • 2 Hours of support and/or training.
    (This includes email support)

PLEASE READ:

We only accept volunteer web development requests from legitmate charitable organizations and/or individuals who have exceptional financial need.

Nonprofits will be required to verify that they are registered with the IRS and State Attorney Generals office in the state in which your organization resides.

For individuals with exceptional financial need, we use the US Department of Health and Human Services as a standard. Go to http://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty/ to verify that you are eligible. Individuals/organizations that have exceptional financial need will be required to validate their income with W2's, Social Security, etc.

Finally, all volunteer web development requests will be DENIED if your expectations are unreasonable. We only offer between 10-20 hours of volunteer time for each organization-absolutely no exceptions.

If your volunteer web development request is approved, you will be placed in que for our volunteer services. The length of time that you will need to wait can vary between a few days to several months, dependent on our current number of approved volunteer web development clients.

Once it is your turn to recieve our volunteer web development services, you will recieve an email with instructions telling you how to proceed. If we do not recieve a response to our email within 3-5 business days, your organization will be removed from the que.

All volunteer web development work is financially funded directly by Michael Stratton, so please have a little bit of consideration before making an unreasonable request.
